Teaching

What sets aside good professors from great professors is the ability to passionately contextualize theory. Good professors present well prepared class material in a clear and effective manner. Great professors share experiences with the classroom. They engage students in a journey to discover how concepts and theories come to life in a dairy farm. I have been fortunate to experience great professors who became great mentors. Over the years, I realized that the main reason for their success as professors is their commitment to teaching and professionalizing students. Their classes were full of real examples from the practice and from their research laboratory. This experience with great professors who bridged the gap between the classroom and the farm framed my tenets of how to teach.
