Heitor Marins Nunes

My name is Heitor, I am from Patrocinio, Minas Gerais, Brazil. In Brazil I study Agronomic Engineering at ESALQ/USP, I’m in my senior year. I grew up on my family’s dairy farm surrounded by plants and animals. During my degree I deepened my passion for them, and I learned how to manage them.
During my sophomore and junior year, I was a member of an extension group called RAIZ “Animals Reproduction of Zootechnics Interesting” supervised by Professor Dr. Roberto Sartori Filho developed my abilities to deal with animals and expand my knowledge in the field of reproduction.
Nowadays I’m member of QCF lab “Quality Forage Conserve” supervised by Professor Dr. Luiz Gustavo Nussio we study different types of preserved forages, corn silage, forage silage, hay, haylage, etc. Currently I’m leading a project to compare different corn hybrids and how they can impact average daily gain ADG in Beef Cattle.
I’m excited to be part of a dairy focus lab, where I intend to learn more about dairy nutrition with my advisor and the graduate students, and to contribute to their research project.
