I am originally from Springfield, Illinois. I have worked in IT support, systems administration, and online education since 1995.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science, both from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I came to the Animal Sciences Department in 2003, and have worked as a Communications Specialist since 2010. My goal is to help disseminate the valuable information gained from the research here via web sites, newsletters, podcasts, and other avenues.
