Illinois Dairy Summit to be held February 5, 6, and 7 in 2019

The Illinois Milk Producers’ Association and University of Illinois Dairy Extension are once again joining forces for the 9th Annual Illinois Dairy Summit. Dr. Mike Hutjens, Dr. Phil Cardoso, and Dave Fischer will again team up with Tasha Bunting and the Illinois Milk Producers’ Association to coordinate and present three Illinois Dairy Summits throughout Illinois.

Make a note of the change in dates and locations. This year the summits will begin in Southern Illinois on February 5th and conclude in Northern Illinois on the 7th. The first Dairy Summit will be held on Tues., Feb. 5, 2019 at Kaskaskia College in Centralia,  the next program will be held the following day at the Asmark Institute in Bloomington on Wed., Feb. 6, 2019, and the Dairy Summits will conclude on Thurs., Feb. 7, 2019 at Highland Community College in Freeport.

The keynote speaker will be Richard Wallace, DVM, Managing Veterinarian, Dairy at Zoetis, presenting “Improving Reproduction Efficiency.” Other topics covered during the program include feeding updates, Dairy RP, and research updates. The latest in dairy management information will be shared with dairy producers and dairy industry personnel.
