Research & Extension

Three main pillars of academic excellence sustain successful university programs: extension, research, and teaching. A good teaching program develops researchers and professionals who are relevant to society. In turn, society recognizes the institution for its formative accomplishments and is incentivized to further invest in education: research is then augmented. A well-rounded extension program shares the benefits of the university’s research with the community at large, including businesses. These are members of the community who can benefit directly from the impact of a good outreach program. As a result, funds flow back into the university for improvements on research, teaching, and extension.
